Synopsis
FOR the purpose of establishing the Substance Abuse Early Intervention and Detoxification Services Fund to provide treatment and rehabilitation to students expelled from school in Prince George’s County and cover expenses incurred by uninsured or underinsured minors in Prince George’s County for treatment services related to the misuse of alcohol and drugs; requiring the Prince George’s County Health Department to administer the Fund; authorizing the Maryland Department of Health and the Department of Juvenile Services to refer students who have been expelled from school to a local behavioral health authority in Prince George’s County for treatment and rehabilitation related to the misuse of alcohol and drugs; and generally relating to the Substance Abuse Early Intervention and Detoxification Services Fund.
